R.H. McClurg

I'm Rob (or R.H.) McClurg, and for over 30 years, art has been my life. Through painting, music, and other creative expressions, I've poured my heart into every piece, leaving behind a collection that reflects my passion, dedication, and journey.

Lately, life has tested me in ways I never expected. I'm now facing Temporal Lobe Epilepsy, making every moment behind the canvas even more precious. After battling and, for now, overcoming ATLL cancer, this new challenge has been both physically and emotionally exhausting. Decades of creating have also taken their toll, but art remains my anchor—my solace, my purpose, and my way of sharing what words sometimes cannot.

Every piece I create tells a story, capturing emotions, experiences, and the world as I see it. I invite you to explore my work—each one a labor of love, a reflection of my journey. And if you’d like something truly personal, I welcome the chance to collaborate on a custom piece. Bringing someone’s vision to life is more than a creative process; it’s a meaningful connection that enriches both artist and patron.

Thank you for taking the time to engage with my art and my story. Your support means more than I can say, especially in this challenging time. Thank you for being part of my journey.

With gratitude and warmth,
Rob McClurg

The Evolution of Sound: Clinical Certifications

Post-pandemic, my journey evolved from performance into the deep science of human resonance. In early 2026, I completed specialized clinical training through Allegra Learning Solutions and Clark College, earning certifications in Brain Health and Music Therapy & Sound Healing. I now utilize these neuroplasticity and acoustic grounding techniques to teach safe, maximum-power vocals. Whether I am painting, writing with my "Old School American Metal Band" Consumed X Chemistry, or teaching students from my studio in Vancouver, Washington, my mission remains the same: to reinvigorate the human spirit through the mastery of art and sound.

Advanced Professional Certifications

In addition to my performance and instructional experience, I am committed to the ongoing study of how music intersects with cognitive and physiological wellness. I am a Superprof Ambassador (5.0★ Rating), recognized for excellence in student engagement and instructional quality. I have recently expanded my practice by completing advanced professional certifications in Brain Health (February 2026) and Music Therapy and Sound Healing (February 2026) through ALLEGRA Learning Solutions. Furthermore, I hold a Verified Certificate in Introduction to Music Theory from BerkleeX, the online learning initiative of the Berklee College of Music. These credentials allow me to offer a uniquely holistic approach to music instruction, ensuring that every session is optimized for technical precision, vocal safety, and long-term cognitive health.
